FTE Badge Swipe & IP Monitoring

Any one hear about them monitoring badge swipes and IP addresses for how long people are in the office? Has anyone been talked to by their mgr for not being in the office 8hrs?

If you choose to live 45 minutes away (or longer), that is your choice****this person absolutely does not live in Charlotte, Atlanta or Orlando.

I work 3 days a week in the office - others are listed as WFH and come and go as they please - no rhyme or reason - Just pure favoritism IMO.

Let’s hear the statistics already. Of 50K+ teammates, how many are coming to the office?

Oh and how many were found to have the infamous mouse jiggler software on their computer?

You live 45 minutes from where you work and now complaining you have to drive to work? That’s your fault! Three and a half years ago you wouldn’t have known the difference. Millennials and snowflakes are destroying our country. Notice how no other prior generation gets so much slamming as you people do? It’s for good reason.

Why are teammates who answer incoming calls from clients working from home but back-office teammates who have no direct client communication in the office 3+ days of the week?

I promise you the level of competency to do this is not present at Truist.

If it wasn’t for Covid, most of you wouldn’t know anything about remote work. Be an adult, quit with the whining and go to work. Your entitlement is showing & its annoying.

Come into the office but also pay $25 per day or $175 per month. Half of the apprehension to come into the office is justifying paying money to come to work. Of course EL doesn't care because that's chump change with their 26% increase in salary.

Bit of a stretch? Most people just get more done at home and have way less distractions and spend more time actually working vs throwing away time and money to commute. Managers have quite a sense of entitlement to put people in chairs so they can please EL and have lost any trust their employees had.

Companies, including Truist, do not instruct you where to live. If you choose to live 45 minutes away (or longer), that is your choice. You don’t deserve special treatment because you chose a certain way. This sense of entitlement is destroying our country.

They are definitely monitoring badge swipes as well as amount of inactive time and time on one page. Some with mouse giggles have been warned as of last week. Managers recd warnings because team did not have required min of badge swipes.

I know someone who was hired as a teleworker during the pandemic but is now commuting to an office 45 minutes each direction because of badge swipe requirements. There are no exceptions when a company is attempting to shed salaries

But do we know of anyone getting called out for working remotely when they are hybrid for example. The fact that they can track badges and ip addresses is one thing but are they doing anything about it at this time.

I can also confirm badge swipe monitoring an IP address monitoring. I have access to the logs that shows if you are working via remote or in the office so it's very easy for them to check.

My manager works remote from her lake house. I am required to drive a further distance then her to sit in an office 8 hours per day 4x a week. Great policy Truist

Badge swipes are monitored. As far as I know IP’s are not. That being said I follow the policy as close as possible. I do see some who abuse it. It should be handled at a team/individual level.

I’m not a fan of Big Bother watching but I don’t see a problem here. If your job requires you to be in the office for 8 hrs per day then what are you afraid of?

Curious about this as well. I don’t think most people are following the new rules but have not heard anything about if managers are discussing it.

So will managers come to you if no badge records?
