Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The same problems, same leadership, will all

Exist after these massive layoffs. For every 100 employees you shed, the net cast is shedding high quality employees as well due to ATTs inability to shed true fat. The work will still exist but you will still have a similar ratio of producers and non producers. Theain problem is now what we're formerly producers simply don't care at this point due to the indiscriminate nets that they get caught up in due to leadership incompetence. It's a circle of toxic cancer that can only be resolved with major changes at the top.

If you have deep voice you can be a ceo, that’s the only qualification stankey has, he has a deep voice.

...and to be tall to act like you have a presence. Only his presence is stink.

NEWSFLASH......Stankey is a loser.
Sorry pal, he ain't CEO material. Got in tight with Stephenson, that's how he got to be CEO. Both Stankey and Stephenson are not qualified to be first level managers, let alone CEO's. Both keep robbing at&t with their excessive salaries, including Stephensons pension. Both should be locked up for grand theft.

Anyone can cut expenses but that is shortsighted. 1st, why did you get overstaffed Stankey? 2nd, why aren't you doing anything to expand the revenue base? Stankey is clueless, incompetent and has no skills to be CEO

Surgical reductions would grow revenue long term but Stankey and Crew are short term quarterly current year numb nuts. The problems will soon arise from the apathy and cuts of quality people as there are plenty who manage and understand the archaic systems as ATT won't spend cash to upgrade.

Having Stankey at or near the top for 15+ years with the share price movement is the definition of insanity. Can you imagine trying to right a ship by making 90% plus of the employee base miserable and fearful. Leadership is so incompetent and out for their own interests that they fail to realize the younger generation views ATT like someone 20 years ago views Sears. Years from now there will be case studies on the buffoonery of Telecom and Wireless leadership who's companies created trillions in shareholder value for other companies. The idea that they are so thick headed across the industry that they could grab more monetization from products like Google , Apple, Facebook who all got a free ride to Trillions on the backs of Telco Wireless. Only with ATT The Stankey mindset has it all on steroids and paranoia.

Well said ---- need the top of the house to be replaced, starting with stankey....anyone can cut costs...not hard to do...he and the leadership team have years to grow our businesses and have failed by every objective measure. he has us in 2 commodity businesses - fiber and Mobility...not a good place to be....commodity businesses mean more cost reductions....let's start at the top!

Time to go.
