Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Help yourselves

In your control. Polish your resume. Do mock interviews. Make a list of career contacts outside. Call that list networking for opportunities. Apply for jobs. Decide what skills you want to improve. Find out how to improve them and make it happen. Cut your expenses and increase savings. Practice being an effective delegator to free your time. Balance your day between planning for the future elsewhere, executing those plans, and completing necessary survival task. Just a few things. Focus on this work and you will be to busy to worry. Bonus you will have soft landing or possibly take off like a rocket when the time comes.

Reposting because this is good advice everybody should read. OP is @soe+1oOhxLb0.

Most people that read this page won’t accept the truth here, but this has to be the best advice ever on any page. Most people want to blame others (the executives at the “top”) and whine and moan about things, but only a few people will read this and actually do something.

It’s far easier to be a victim than to be accountable and MOST people will prefer to be the victim.
