Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wanted this comment to see get more coverage …it’s both funny and smart

I was scrolling through the posts from the last few days and saw this stray comment hidden in a thread in reference to the $30 Billion Stock Buyback.

“would be a much better investment to buy $30B in JPM stock. Pretty much zero chance WFC outperforms JPM, especially with the JPM rejects running WF into the ground.”

It would be fun to see this joke/sentiment gain traction throughout the bank.

Charlie’s Townhall: Q. Could we start getting our 401K match in JPM stock??
Follow- up Q: Could our bonuses be paid out in JPM stock options?

Analyst at next earnings call: Q: Wouldn’t it be a better investment to buy $30 Billion in JPM stock?

Wells shareholder meeting: Q: Could we get our dividends in JPM stock? Better yet - is there a way we can trade in 4 shares of WFC for 1 share JPM? Yes yes - we do realize it would be an initial loss, but long term…

Kudos to whoever wrote this.

If I had to buy one of those two stocks it would definitely be JPM. I'm honestly not sure why anyone buys WFC anymore. There's really minimal prospects for growth even if the cap were lifted tomorrow. Current leadership isn't doing anything that would lead to growth, the opposite actually. All of their actions suggest they are more interested in shutting the place down than building it up.

"if paying it's employees a fair wage is going to bankrupt a company, it deserves to go bankrupt"

I found this prior post to be very good also.
