Even stumpf was better and that is saying an awful lot. I despised him and loved it when he showed up to congress with that cast on, getting ripped to shreds for his ill treatment of employees. And yet, CS is even more cruel and heartless. Maybe he isn’t pushing sham sales, but he clearly has no regard for the experience of either customers or employees. He seems to hate all people not named Charlie Scharf. He can’t be gone fast enough.

Timmy was a people’s leader. Out there, rubbing elbows, could talk the talk. Dished out RSR to the peasants even. Just didn’t care about satisfying the regulators unfortunately
At least Sloan cared about his team members. 2 personal holidays and extend parental leave for a new child. That would have never happened with CS. Actually surprised he hasn’t taken it away.
CS is the worst CEO in WF history. I am motivated to outlast CS despite the worsening work environment post re-org.

The operating committee and possibly the regulators wanted a CEO who would come in rip the soul out of the organization without disregard for its employees.
If this CEO is still here to oversee the lifting of the asset cap he seems like the type to write a book on his accomplishments and how he did it through market and social upheavals. I doubt he would recognize the hard working employees but rather his unique leadership capabilities, while failing to mention he destroyed the lives on many in his wake. He will also devote a chapter to DEI and how the bank is so much better with certainly marginalized groups represent leadership roles.
