Will be happy if they spare me for 2 more years. Get children out of college commitments. Not big fan of severance . Wellsfargo donating lot of money, keeping few of us need of job will help the community here not in aboard.

We may not know specifics, but we know with certainty that mass layoffs have happened and will continue. The CFO said as much in plain English. The posters here that keep claiming that layoffs are a "conspiracy theory" is clearly paid company trolls or simply boot kicking lackies. The CFO said 40k have been S canned in the last 3 years. All evidence suggests that 10k will be canned in 2023 alone. Not guessing or conspiracy or assumptions, data from the company's own employee list. We ALL know people and groups that have been impacted. No one really believes "it's not happening" and yet every single thread about it the trolls come in and claim some version of 'it's not happening', or maybe it's happening but the dates are wrong, or some other useless nonsense intended to distract employees from the truth. The domestic work force is being exterminated at WF. This company had almost 290k employees, almost entirely domestic, back when the merger happened. Now there's well under 178k and it keeps dropping. "Conspiracy theory, conspiracy, reeeeee!!!!!" Shut the he-l up with that BS. Almost half the work force is gone and they are coming for the rest. The CFO said as much himself. That's the horrible truth of the matter and no amount of misdirection and lies from the trolls will change that. The BoD could, but they clearly don't want to. They brought CS in to fire all of us and replace us with uncaring contractors and I&P types. That's it. That's what's driven every decision since CS got here and we're all going to suffer the consequences.

To all …no one knows for sure unless you’ve been directly involved in the conversations and the decisioning. However for u naysayers saying that it’s chicken little and nothing but a conspiracy….use facts and logic and determine the likelihood of more/mass layoffs on the Tuesday after payday and the day before a corp town hall…its hasn’t been trickle layoffs up to this point…but some may consider 1000s to date as insignificant. Significant cost cutting has to happen — possible solution is to layoff as many as possible prior to having to match year end 401k. In addition all jobs are going to India and have been for months…no backfill in the us and no job postings here either. In my group we now how have 18 India openings and a mandate to schedule meetings in their availability ..etc. they can hire 3 to one in the US for most senior individual contributors and management…I know as I sit in on our budget meetings. Also look at the job openings in Charlotte …I was looking for my current job In February and there were ~800 openings. Now there are less than 200. Put all of this together and the probability is high not a conspiracy but simply deducing a highly likely event. To what extent I have no idea…I will wait and see and hope I am wrong…I use data and analytics on a daily basis to make business decisions and set expectations…I am simply aligning my expectations so I will get no surprises

EVP here, all middle management jobs are moving to India by Q2 of next year. You can move there to keep your job, or train your remote Indian replacement from here.

Fyi- OP is a frequent troll here that uses the word “interesting” whenever he wants to pass off one of his hallucinated connections as insight. No “major” layoff event will happen on that date, but he’ll still claim it as a victory because he’s fundamentally incapable of introspection or interpreting reality properly.

It’ll probably just be a regular trickle layoff date like they all are, chicken little. You don’t have to run here to share every new revelation you heard from your dog.

Jesus dude you really need help at this point. Townhalls are frequent and just empty PR. You need to get over your obsession with Charlie and stop trying to tie in every unrelated event to your conspiracies.

Rather than burying newer posts you should scroll down if you want people's predictions. There are already multiple threads on this.

The two events are mutually exclusive. Stop trying to read into it.
