What recession? According to Biden, the economy is robust , never better!
No recession. Have you noticed your local strip-mall occupancy?
With gas prices increasing and most people paying an average of $5.00/gal., a recession is more likely than it would have been without gas price increases. It causes everything else to go up in price, thereby, people having to choose carefully what to spend their money on. People will drive only out of necessity and spend less money. I don't think people will give up their cell phones, so T will weather the storm if in fact there is a recession.
There is no recession. Listen to economists not Fox. T stock is dropping due to endless years of poor leadership. T keeps buying outdated technology like direct tv or things they know nothing about like Warner then sells at a loss. Hire a CEO from outside T to turn it around.
Recession is coming end of 2024-25. Credit cards and auto loans are defaulting at a higher rate. Layoffs will begin in earnest after Christmas as they is a lot of corporate debt that has to get refinanced at obscenely higher rates. Balance sheets will blow up so companies will have to layoff to not look really bad to wall street. Each quarter earnings report will et worse and worse through 2024. Look at Gross Domestic Income. Not Gross Domestic Product. GDI leads GDP and its already showing we are about to hit a recession.
s&p forecasted to reach 25% gain by next year. T should be more worried about title 2 and debt.
T is one of the most expensive carriers with a ton of hidden fees. How would they be insulated from a recession? When my income dropped, AT&Fee was the first bill to go!
Ratty and Stinky borrowed that $100B at almost 0% and now thanks to the Kommie spending, Stinky will have to rollover the debt at a rate he cannot pay the interest.
And then Stinky borrowed more $ to pay the dividends
Stink is such a financial wizard! NOT!
Last I checked this was a layoff forum, not a place for immigration policy debate.
Let's roll out the red carpet on our southern boarder. Come one come all, it's the American dream. You, as a taxpayer, may not pay today, but believe me you will pay big time. Talk about way too many mouths to feed!
You should probably not speak in absolutes. You don’t know there will be a recession. Economists, with all their degrees and credentials, have been saying one was coming for 2 years. You might as well do a coin flip and you’ll beat the academics 50% of the time. It’s all a game.
Have you seen Hydens stock market today and the ongoing border crisis? He has opened the boarder since he came into office. Almost 6 Million now and no stopping it.
“ Coming recession? You sound like your better at predicting the future than I am. When will this coming recession occur? 6 months? 1 year? 3 years? 5 or ten years?”
Not the OP here but I’ll put it this way. It’s long overdue.

I think T is pretty recession proof. People aren’t going to cut their cell phone or internet. They may jump to cheaper service providers is about the only thing we have to worry about there.
Joe gave 56B to bail out Union Pensions (Teamsters). I am sure he will save his Union friends here.
Not adding anymore debt! Get real, they continue to borrow to pay dividend and purchase spectrum. AT&T will never retire the debt ($140B) accumulated. Bankruptcy is the only way out.
Can they do that?
There is discussion of a recession, but very hard to predict if or if not it will happend. However, you can count on customers not giving up their mobile devices. You'll have to pry them from their cold dead hands which will help revenue continue. As for the stock price, maybe $23 which I kind of remember Morningstar saying not too long ago. But that's a bit more than a 53% increase in the stock - so not for quite a while. And don't think T will go to zero because leadership finally learned their lesson (I hope) not to add anymore debt.
T is going to crash.
