Got laid off in August. Almost out of my non working period (October) applied to hundreds of analyst roles in Charlotte but have not gotten any interviews yet (multiple companies) Just wanted to see how some of your are fairing out there. Thanks.

www.usajobs.gov search your area for job series 0343 Management and Program analyst. If you really are good at being a business analyst, your skills should transfer. Read the job description carefully. Read the part about exactly how to set up your resume including start date/end date, hours worked/week and salary/anum.
There are plenty of great opportunities. Negotiate for starting above the minimum for your salary and negotiate for your experience counting toward credit for service which impacts how much leave (pto) they give you going in. Don't just click the button to accept the first offer - call the HR person and tell them you want to negotiate on salary and leave.
It's helpful to mention what you do when talking about getting hired/fired.
I'm not sure, but it seems like with online banking, etc., a teller job may be harder to get than something in IT, for example.
And even then, what you do in IT matters.
ChatGPT could be useful to certain degree, but it still has a few glitches. If you ever use ChatGPT, you have to review and make sure it makes sense to you.
Some Wells Fargo-provided consulting companies may be giving you the wrong instructions. For instance, LHH tells everybody to use a two-column format resume, but the ATS will automatically filter out such format because their bots cannot interpret correctly. WF does not use ATS, but most of other big companies use ATS.
It took me 9 months and more than 200 apps before landing my current gig. And this is last year before the massive layoffs. Don’t give up and good luck!
Upgrade your resume. Use ChatGPT or BARD to write it for you. To see how in YouTube enter "resume chatgpt prompts" You can get it to write a custom resume and cover letter given the job post details. If you have an issue with using AI then you will not be much use in the workforce.
I would not apply for any Wells Fargo jobs. Once laid off this well is poison for you
Change jobs get creative. It is not worth working for an oversized misled company. Find something small and personal to your interests. It is not worth working for big companies. Do what you really want even if it is for less
This is old school but I will share it. If you aren't getting interviews, the problem is your resume. The resume is simply a tool to get noticed. If you do fit a job after interviewing, and then you don't hear back, the problem is your interviewing skills, assuming salary and hours or travel, etc. (obvious points) aren't the issue. If they say they want to give you a start date pending a background check and you don't hear back in a couple of weeks (there are only a few exceptions) it is your references.
So people were lying when they said they got a new job, full remote, double pay, free healthcare, free company car, etc?
There is a limit of how many jobs you can apply for, yet another rule they created to make sure you can’t come back.
It's a tough market right now. Many companies are laying off so the competition is tough.
If you can't get anywhere w/ direct applying, I'd suggest going thru a contracting company. That will help you get your foot in the door, hopefully at a place you love!

It's tough out there right now, and the salaries for analyst jobs are not as good as they used to be. There are more candidates than jobs to fill, maybe it will be better by the new year.
I wouldn’t ever try to stay or reapply to Wells Fargo — are you kidding me? I’ll be skipping out the door when the time comes. Given way too much of myself already.
The biggest lie these clowns tell is that they want to retain people being layed off. They never do. You could apply for 1000 jobs and they'll make sure you don't get any of them. They want you gone, permanently.
Yes, as said, it isn't a good time right now. Budgets are most likely spent for 2023 and now being finalized for 2024 so you will have a better success next year,
I was laid off in March after 30 years. Trying to stay with wells but turned down for roles. They don’t want us F them!

This is a bad time of year to look for a job unfortunately.
Try to find something in contracting for a while until you find something more permanent.
Are you certified? Probably not. Within the analyst community, Wells has a falling reputation. I know that I wouldn't give 2 cents to any of the analysts I had to work with to get any tech projects done. I suggest you go to iiba.org and get started. Take this time to unlearn everything you learned at the bank.
Look outside of Charlotte for remote roles. Also, clean up your resume. Most resumes are turds.
Be thankful you are still getting paid and that you will then get severance. When I was laid off, I applied like crazy, didn't hear a thing until 3 weeks after I sent those first resumes. Takes 4 to 6 months to find a job. Take some time to chill.
Wells is like a scarlet letter to recruiters. It’s worse the longer you’ve been with the company. Tenure doesn’t always equate to a demonstration of loyalty and stability in today’s job market. Good luck everyone.🤞🏼
It’s hard to find an analyst role - the economy is worse than what the media is saying. There are lots of people competing for jobs now.
Wells is not an asset on your resume! Especially in banking.
