I tried hiring an attorney for an accident that wasn't my fault. (truck was parked) Only got 1 response from a half a dozen inquiries. They don't want to touch anything from a AT&T
No one who can affect change reads the layoff.com. If you want to make an impact you need to write comments on the AT&T Insider - and also on any town hall replays that come out. After they release the Around the Globe each week there’s an opportunity to comment. USE THAT FORUM TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY. It’s the way to get other employees on board. We all heard what Stankey said. Also board of directors meets this week. Let’s hope we hear some major org changes out of that meeting.
My sister worked twenty years for a large insurance corporation she had very good performance reviews and also got what they called the "Chairman's award." After a change in managers, her new one faulted her without HR being involved. She was terminated and told no vacation and no unemployment. An employment attorney asked HR for her personnel file knowing it had documented proof of her performance. After that, there was no need for the file. HR reinstated her vacation pay and unemployment benefits. And sometime later, fired the manager. Just and FYI of one case where an attorney is help.
Welfare is a vicious cycle.
I want free money. Now point me to the lying cheating blood su-king sc-mbag lawyer who will get it for me!
Fake news. That is not what John said.
Stankey admitted on the July 26 meeting response to an employee question that the RTO pretext was to get rid of older workers and replace them with younger people. My organization did just that.
AT&T is about to go through some things.
Blah blah blah. Hire the attorney or shut up.
Victim mindset.
As soon as one person gets a copy of the Webcast Q&A with Stankey saying we have too many old people, the doors will be blown off the case and this will be bigger than the toxic water at Camp Lajune. The legal term is “prima facie” or at face value, the CEO of this company said he doesn’t want older employees. It’s going to be costly to defend because any employee who opens a case will require AT&T to prove that’s not what it meant. Whether employees win the suit or not, the company will spend millions to defend the suits.
Can you do that?
If somebody pays you for your cr-p then it cannot be called a discrimination but a miracle. So pray more and spam less.
If someone is actually discriminated against, definitely, pursue justice. I can't speak to isolated cases, but what's happening at att now is not discrimination. Definitely bad corporate decisions, but not discrimination.
