I planned on staying 2 more years. (retired last November) The thought of losing 1/3 of my lump sum? ($200K+) I could live off of this if I retire! I left and never looked back! I miss the work part bc it was different every day. (fiber) BUT! There is life after leaving this sh..hole of a company. People, last year was the year to leave. Pensions are going to go down more this year too bc of rising interest rates. Now I am working 20 hrs a week making $25 an hour and happy as a pig in sh.t Leave if you can. You won't regret it!

  1. m ready to leave ATT and have been for several years now. Just waiting for my VTP to come along even if I have to work deep into the next year, I will do so just to wait them out. I know bargained for employees will be on the chop block next year after the management employee terminations die down.

Good. I have my mod75, my pension, my 401k and I’m at the age I can touch it without penalty. Give me my six months pay.
