Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF IS ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET RID OF REMOTE PEOPLE...

I was hired full time remote in a state where we have no locations... I am still labeled as remote but....

I am in regular contact with the person who handles remote exceptions for my LOB...

And the execs can #$@+ off at any time also. RTO is this team's 8 is Great. It's already failed and it will continue to get worse.

OP - This is not a news flash and has been an active effort by WF for over 5 years at this point. That policy existed before Chuckie and prior to COVID. COVID just slowed it down significantly.

Doesn’t matter if you were hired remote or not. They can change that on you anytime they feel like it. All these people who think they are safe. You are NOT!!!!!

I spent years getting the certs and degrees necessary to get a WFH gig, earned one, and did it for years at a high level before C19. Offices are a complete waste of time and money for the vast majority of non-retail employees, especially for teams that are geographically distributed due to customer locations. F "RTO", F Hudson Yards, and F the bootlicking toadies that think being compliant cucks will save their job. It won't.

Did you honestly think they would leave you remote forever???? As soon as COVID was over everyone back to the office. Did not take a rocket scientist to figure that out!

This is not true. My first 10 years I went into an office. My team was all over the country. My last 15 was remote. PREcovid obviously. Lol. Got my walking papers due to location. (Not close to major hub.)

Omg OP. When you took a fully remote job did it ever cross your mind that the fact that it’s fully remote could mean less job security?

I'm still waiting for @OP to make an actual argument. The entire post was "I'm remote, I'm talking to someone about my exception, WF is trying to get rid of remote people but I have provided no evidence."

I say this as a 100% remote person who wants to be laid off. Don't feed these stupid troll posts. When it's obviously this badly written, you know it's some internet leech who is just yearning for attention.

That's already going in the handbook. If you don't meet the RTO attendance guidelines it's considered an unexcused absence. They updated the handbook for 2024 so they can do termination withOUT severance of anyone that doesn't meet the RTO guidelines.

Is that the best you can come up with? Must you be so pathetic? Put your big boy pants on a post as yourself. Don’t be a coward

Remote jobs are being eliminated at Wells. I'd rather make sweet love to an old pack mule than find myself in the job market again.

lol @ anyone that thinks it ends with remote workers. It's classic divide an conquer tactics. Sure, it starts with the guys that won't bow down to the stupidity that is RTO, then it's people in the "wrong" location, then it's people outside of hubs, then it's people that have been with the bank "too long" (aka longer then Shart), then it's people in mortgage, then it's people that can sorta be replaced with an uncaring contractor, then it's people that can sorta be replaced by 2-3 foreigners, and on and on it goes until we're all gone. New excuses at every turn, but at the end of the day they bottom line is that they want to get rid of all of us. It doesn't matter what you comply with or what you resist, at most that tweaks the timeline. Same end result, we all go.
