Thread regarding Follett layoffs

FY23 Profit Sharing Contribution

Anyone have any knowledge about this for those of us that were terminated this year? I received an email but really think it's a huge HAHAHA joke. Is Troweprice gonna send us our money for those of us that cashed out our funds.

Just an update on this situation. Trowe Price is unable to transfer the funds to my new 401K account. According to them, it's locked funds that requires Follett to release them. They charge a $10.00 account fee per month to have the money in that account. So I guess they are just going to keep the money and just take what they need. Why give me profit sharing funds and not allow me to benefit from it? Such a joke! I am so glad I am not with that company any longer.

I moved my 401(k) money out with the help of my financial advisor and rolled it into a new 401(k). I was charged $25 by T. Rowe Price that’s it they just wanted to know why I was doing it and if they could do anything to keep me. I’m sure it’s the same for everybody, it was well worth pulling it out and moving it I’m gone so why should my money stay?

So JRC is paying profit sharing into 401K accounts and giving cash bonuses!
Three Cheers for JRC!
It was worth the substantial pay cut and doing the work of three associates!

Call T Rowe Price to find out how to pull your money out

So JRC is paying profit sharing contributions into accounts for people that no longer work for them?
What if you had rolled that account into a new plan with a new employer and closed out your account?
Why not just mail you a check?

@8xac+1oKQxchW: Reading comprehension isn't your strong point is it? The title says PROFIT SHARING CONTRIBUTION! Not bonus. Apparently those of us let go in May were still eligible for profit sharing contributions that were automatically deposited into TRowe Price. There is currently no option to move it to my current jobs 401k plan. It's currently "locked by the trustee" . I don't work for Follett anymore, why is my money being held hostage!

Why would JRC put YOUR bonus in YOUR 401 account?
Did you request that?
Sounds dodgy.

Yes received the same notification but apparently if you were over the age of 55 when terminated or left follett they waive the additional 10 percent fee if you chose to withdraw

I got a letter. I called about moving my money to a 401K because if you cash out you will lose so much in fees and penalties. They sent me the check that would go in my 401K account. It was easy but they will pay you out. You automatically got the letter for notification if you were below $5000 and if you didn't respond they would send a check. I missed it by $80 for them to leave it alone so I rolled mine..
