I'm telling you for truth that Apple determines the inventory allocation by carrier for New Product Introduction (NPI).
I've project managed the NPI for several years and speak with direct experience for how the process works.
People that pay quickly get inventory.
Apple wouldn't accept IOUs anymore
Apple decides but that doesn’t mean everyone will buy as much as they will sell to them.
It’s very likely T just didn’t want to put up the $$$ to purchase enough
Apple determines the inventory allocation by carrier.
AT&T gets a certain number of iPhone units for launch day and Apple will provide more phones once manufacturing catches up with any additional demand.
More importantly, AT&T failed you.
