Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What are we “INFOR” ?

What is your opinion on this newer time tracking software? The good and the bad?
Any advice or tips? Moving from GCAS.

I’m not fond of the micromanaging aspect of it, constantly entering and updating time on tickets or projects all day. It slows down productivity, just having to constantly re-log in will become very annoying. Unlike some jobs that work from task to task, my job isn’t linear, with constant tangents and reprioritizations throughout the day.

Heard DEG and CNIO/CO’s are going live by year end, can’t wait for this cluster. Right after picking next years PTO and just before getting W2’s at end of January, this should be interesting.

Quickbase is completely unrelated to Infor.

And there's a good reason for this too. Enterprise One is terrible.

Won't matter in the long run. The company is moving towards replacing everything with Workplace.

If any system works well, T will find a way to get rid of it in favor of junk like infor.

"INFOR is not managed by T..I wonder whose uncle got this nice contract for this useless time tracking software. Probably made millions"

It a product of a worldwide company called Workday. An off the shelf solution to merge all of T's payroll systems together. It actually makes a bit of sense vs. merging everything into a custom homegrown solution.

infor should be the least of your issues.
We've been on it for year years and there was micromanagement before and after.

Staff love a good job justifying, micromanaging tool. It gives them purpose to harass and barrage those with direct reports while appearing to be productive to their manager.

I can see going granular for tracking at the financial level but at the technical/operation levels it will be counter productive, there are too many variables. Daily input not hourly or real-time should be more than sufficient to track a project or ticket.

It's similar to a government job, where you have to fill in the hours worked with different charge number from different projects. This is the way they will keep track of the tight budget versus actual results of projects. Those projects which go way over the budget and schedule with little to no results will be stopped and those people will be laid off. And those projects that are within budget and schedule, and show that they have met the end goal will remain and continue to work on other projects. This is the best way for the company to track what projects and people to keep, and which ones to let go.
