It has been over a week since JG held his no questions asked townhall announcing this and since GW held his morning session answering questions for those of us having to relocate. There are still no details on this. When does a decision need to be made? When is this effective? What specifically is covered for relocation costs? What is available to employees if they choose not to relocate? There is no information verbally, let alone in writing. Looks like a very poorly thought out decision and rollout at the most senior levels of this company.

They definitely know how to be calculating. They will parse out information slowly based on their plan. They want to see how many people are moving in each city/department, etc before committing anything on their side. They want a hold on you to get as much out of you as possible. Unless you have a good reason to stay, you may be better served to begin looking in earnest for something else. Proactive vs reactive. If the rif you at some point you don’t want to be in a position where you make a rash decision because you’re out of work snd end up in another cr-ppy position.
Stop waiting for them to decide your future. Make something happen and find a new job. This is why all that’s left are people trying to retire and quiet quitters. Don’t count on a severance package. Legally they don’t have to give you squat for not relocating. You can be terminated for not relocating.
Attrition, that's all there is to it. They want people gone.
Let them hear a deafening silence!
Don't expect them to hold your hand through this process. Either you volunteer quick to relocate or be part of a RIF. One thing they do effectively is RIF employees.
My guess is that you volunteer to move asap, or you will be rifd. Don't expect them to hold your hand through this process. The writing on the wall is crystal clear.
Just another well thought out and executed plan by OFD. When has anything brought forth by anyone from OFD gone smoothly? You will never hit your target with the Ready...Fire...Aim approach. We're all too busy cleaning up the messes left behind from them hitting something they didn't intend to.
Do you expect any different from this dumpster fire? Sadly, even with the collective brain power of our entire senior mgmt team, they couldn't work their way out of a paper bag.
