Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Who is Truist protecting?

I have been around this joint long enough to have friends in most every department and have watched how far we have fallen. Got to appreciate the small perks of working for a small southern bank. We have DeMaio, the HR nightmare, Thompson, the run of the mill nightmare, and then the other leaders who either will not retire or so over their skis they are about to go off a cliff. I'm sure this bank will succeed but bad people are viruses and we have viruses. Viruses bring in new viruses and they attack the good cells that try to keep this bank alive and thriving. Anyone that is part of or knows anything about the innerworkings of this place knows it. Turning a blind eye is like pink eye, it is nasty, gross and highly contagious.

They are protecting each other and their personal kingdoms. Majority of these execs have spent last two years surrounding themselves with yes people and it shows throughout the organization. Rewarding their chosen team with EVP, manager of this, head of that, director of this and all these people have protected and promoted their people. No longer does ability or intelligence matter only who you know. Go thru the company roster and anyone, and I mean anyone, with any of the above titles, riff them and start over and in a couple of years we’ll be better for it.
