Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Enbridge Red Flags!!!!

Do NoT wOrK Here! Unpleasant and disgruntled workforce. Plenty of ethical reasons why you shouldn’t work here: 1. Ignores Environmental violations and cover ups.

  1. High turnover! Revolving door for both employee & contractors.
  2. Very limited options for advancement.
  3. Favoritism and division between racial and ethnic groups.
  4. History of repeated environmental and employee litigation.
  5. US - Houston workforce managed by Calgary - Canada.
  6. Managers are trained to throw you under the bus to protect themselves.
  7. New college interns are hired as contractors. Some are hired after graduating as contractors. This means no benefits and less liability.
  8. Horrible business practices and no accountability or teamwork. Managers lie to you.
  9. Supply Chain & TIS are some of the worst departments and do not listen to the few rebuttals coming from managers and HR. It scks blls.
  10. The few longterm employees which haven’t left are there because of the relaxed environment or waiting to reach full pension.
  11. Huge contract workforce consisting of desperate workers or complacent type being okay with lower pay and treated like second rate citizens.
  12. Just do your due diligence and message a few ex employees or the retirees.

There are so many nasty people here that don’t want to know the truth. This is expected and a reflection of how dysfunctional and toxic this environment has become. I wonder what would happen if these layoffs stopped and strict hiring practices were put in place. Add some change management and retrain the management teams would do a lot of good. Just saying…instead of ignoring the situation and continue attacking workers speaking out.

What a fine example of the type of people that you encounter at EB. Online bullies spreading fake information acting as this is a great company ran by great managers covering for what actually happens. I’ve been employed a long time at this company and a lot has changed since 2017. When I say change I mean for the worst. It’s best to stay to yourself and stay clear of negative toxic bullies. It’s a great place to work for if you have zero options and tough skin. If you have ambitions and would like to work for a company which has a great culture then look somewhere else. EB is extremely sensitive to any feedback and expect to be targeted if you do say or do anything that goes against management. Again lots have changed, not a great company as before.

Why don’t you find another job that you can provide your racist skills somewhere else. You're on here instead of working! Individuals like you are the problem. White t***sh

I’m starting to think that there is either a hyper aggressive computer nerd on here or some bots. LOTS of down votes for some comments and LOTS of up votes for others in a VERY short amount of time. And also, for the recently deleted comment, made by the bot/computer nerd; I’m not white, not a manager, and not in Houston. Sorry you feel THAT bad about being employed here. For real though find another job you’ll be happier.

The org. lacks leaders. I just see micromanagers and close minded toxic managers running scm. Being a manager doesn’t make you a leader.

Sure exploiting young talent isn’t bad right? Not reporting environmental impacts isn’t bad either. Ignoring government orders in Michigan is perfectly fine. Knowingly ignoring pipeline integrity is perfectly fine too. All is well as long as shareholders receive their returns. Most ethical people will agree this is wrong.

Hiring college interns as contractors is a bad thing?
It's not like a g-n is held to their head to work as a contractor.......

You do have a point there buddy. Enbridge does enjoy their layoffs! New rounds are expected soon! This is when the negative environment impacts the workforce. And now let us sit back and watch the backstabbing begin!
