Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Concern over changes

They are Closing several branches, lots of bankers up in the air including me and I’m less than a year with this company barely getting any pvc from this dead branch. I still don’t know where I am going and we are closing this week. I am concerned about my job safety, the lack of more openings In my position but more than anything about the lack of communication from management of where I am going beside where I am heading in the upcoming week. Mass lay off, maybe?

When was the last time you walked into a bank - retail or investment?
The reality is most people don't go into branches, the amount of people needed to keep a branch functioning is like 2 or 3. Hence branches are closing.

I know its harsh, but see where else you can fit.

Good luck. This is the time to look around and see if your skill can be transferred to another area of the Bank.

Very sorry to hear this. As far as I know, JPMorgan Chase has also opened branches. However, retail and banking is always shifting. I've noticed a CVS has closed in my area. It's a reality. Change is always happening! Wishing you the best.
