A CEO needs to exit the company it serves when it fails in 3 categories: support by his/her employees, confidence by customers that its services will perform without issues, and increasing shareholder value. Currently at Truist, Bill Rogers and his so-called leadership team have failed not 1, not 2, but in all 3 of these areas. Employee surveys continue to be abysmal and getting worse. Share of Truist are currently down 35%+ YTD. And finally, clients continue to experience service disruptions (case in point - today’s credit card conversion debacle) from its post-merger system changes leaving customers frustrated or worse leaving the bank all together. Clearly, Bill and his lieutenants such as Joe Thompson can’t seemed to hold themselves accountable for their major missteps. The time is long overdue for the big Board to step up to their responsibilities and replace these weak people with strong leaders.

Employee satisfaction is tanking yet they still parade around like RTO is helping and PMV is doing something. Wiping DEI from the company will make it worse. Showing their employees if you’re not a rich old white man or HIS wife, they don’t care. Naw, it’s become so obvious this company doesn’t give a care about people who are different as a customer, vendor or most importantly an employee. No one is a “teammate” with this EL.
