Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Tensions are high. Systems are breaking down

Due to the brain drain and the continued moral ki-ling methods systems are failing more than ever.
Issues taking forever to be resolved.
Issues not being resolved.
Vital files worth millions handled by unqualified staff making mistakes.
Repeated mistakes.
Missed SLAs.
Managers doing nothing but writing RCAs.
No one is maintaining the hardware.
The MoveIt mess.
Still using mainframes.
Tons of old manual processes.
Untested DR systems.
Unsucessful DR tests.
Used Laptops from 10 years ago for associates.
Lack of network/systems familiarity.
Lack of funding to modernize vital systems. No effort to do so noted.
Customer support calls going unanswered.
Fake "get to those tickets" effort.
Lies being told around every corner.

Manager doing nothing but write RCAs.
No end goal.

Good job Frank & Co. Pocket that cash!

I don’t blame them the phone deal is absolutely ridiculous if I’m to be on call 24/7 you can pay my phone bill otherwise 8-5 and let them call Frank they have his #.

I overheard “new” associates NOT happy with the use your own cell phone… on your own dime…their decision..not answering work calls after hours…if FiServ isn’t cutting me a check each month for my cell phone…don’t expect it answered when I’m off work…FiServ is burning bridges!!!

To OP, mainframes are never going away. Grow up and understand software. Not only software, databases and other software that actually works. We need better products than continually failing web apps.
