Well over 2 decades, long days & nights, grueling projects, unreasonable clients, even more unreasonable management, several mergers and then we met good ole FB. The dedication, the honor in being an amazing employee with integrity, faith that others would follow suit only to be slapped in the face repeatedly with a 2 by 4 and told to enjoy it with a Diet Coke and a smile. What a shocker, I don't even like Diet Coke.
The failed applications, systems that are always broken, and the belief that outsourcing, hiring younger staff will make life better for this company that is already run in the ground by someone who has no earthly idea on what real honest employees have done and continue to do for this company day in and day out is laughable at best.
I mapped out the idea of a commute just to see how amazingly insane it would be, not because it is something I would ever consider. It would only take me 5 1/2 hours one way to get to the office that was chosen for me. The company that will offer a relocation package that has more maybes and buts inserted than a 3rd graders essay, is also the same company that pays so far under the radar it should be a crime. The idea of giving any additional effort to the company who gives so little is as appealing as giving my ex another chance. Insert a massive amount of sarcasm here.
