Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Operational Problems Already

I put in a freaking journal request this morning and am still waiting on it to be processed now at end of day and so is co-worker. If they are already behind due to layoffs (could possibly be vacations) and we can’t get simple talks approved, the future work is not long to be good.

I end up having to tell client “I’m sorry. I’m still waiting on the funds to be moved. Hopefully in the morning.”

Grrrr

I'm curious what Operations division(s) of Wealth have been offshored? Can you elaborate?

For the first two id--ts, I work in a division that journals usually show in less than 2 hours. And where did I write that it was offshore? We are at the mercy of back office approving our requests. If they have gutted those departments, that would explain the delay, but coming back in the office almost 24 hours later and it still isn’t done is ridiculous! Our pathetic technology doesn’t help either.

So mo--ns, realize we don’t all work on the bank side (glad I’m not there) and if we post issues it probably isn’t going to be even in something you know anything about (as one so intelligently wrote about.)

Hate to break the news but believe it or not it does take a little freaking time for some of these changes to show payoff and value. I don’t even know what a journal is but what I do know is offshore has very black and white expectations and must work queues and stuff in a specific timeframe (assuming they’re ready and up to speed which obviously they are not yet). It’s highly monitored. People don’t respond to emails for days that are pressing.. but that’s okay because they aren’t offshore? I mean really that’s so dramatic.

At some point the constant cutting, threats of layoffs and lack of raises. Does affect customer service and employee morale. I’m sorry your journal didn’t get processed maybe offshore needed some help doing it, and no one was left to help them

They don't seem to care about giving clients good service.
