Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Can’t wait to be done

It’s almost over. The person I’m training is insufferable. Asking me a zillion questions even thought they’ve been at the company 20x longer than I have.

My experience here was not good. My boss gave me no training and I barely heard from them. I was on my own 95% of the time. Got everything done that was asked of me and in good quality.

I actually took less pay for this job than what I was worth. I was offered jobs paying over 20k more but chose this one because of the name brand, fortune ranking and projected opportunity.

I’ve already been offered a job that is going to pay me 50% more than what I was being paid at CVS. Same field. I was working at a discount and still got laid off. I can’t wait to be done with this.

I hope you're not foolish enough to be training them to do the job properly. The whole idea of laying people off and having them train their replacements is reprehensible. If your job is not important enough for them to keep you, it shouldn't be important enough to have you train your replacement.

Congrats on your new gig. CVS is a sh ithole but hopefully you can take away some enhancements to your skill set.
