I understand that layoffs might be necessary sometimes to keep the company in a financially stable position, but I don't understand why they keep getting rid of people from busy departments that have been struggling to keep up with their workload for a while now. How does that even make sense?

I know one of the people that was let go -- honestly that person should have been let go a lot sooner....😆
Whoever of us are left are doing minimal work Netflix and chillin at home and day drinking
Ever wonder why there are so many levels of mgmt? What exactly is their role and how are they still around when the company is laying off people who are actually doing the day-to-day work for a fraction of the leadership’s salaries! I’ve worked for so many leaders who are simply incompetent or flat out don’t care - as long as there are no escalations, you wouldn’t hear a peep from them- not even a team meeting. If an escalation does happen, they jump all over you as if you didn’t do anything right. Sadly CVS imgmt is running the company to the ground but they don’t care. They will get their millions.
They laid off us incredible employees who we have moved on. We're double dipping and enjoying life. They kept the cr-p employees..... The great ones that were let go, like myself, have moved on and CVS is still paying me. They made the best decisions
Of course everyone can be let go at any time or reason but I’d also like to know how decisions were made. The entire BA COE was let go. Then projects that needed them extended the BAs to end of the year. So in future how will projects be worked
A worker can be let go for any reason or no reason at all. It can be based on age, politics, seniority, business, or simply because someone doesn't like you. Workers are vulnerable and should always stack their chips and be prepared for the inevitable.
