While probably well intentioned, this was an id--tic post. People here have real life problems like making mortgage or rent payments, saving for retirement or kids’ college, etc. OP’s response to the laid off worker is essentially, “don’t worry, in one billion years the Earth won’t exist”!? Let’s see how that goes over in real life.
