Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Big Banks

I love big banks. The employees know very little about banking. Everyone lies about their knowledge and experience. Everyone makes double what they should make.

Unicorns everywhere. Almost everyone is miserable.

Paradise.

It'd be nice if there was any hope of this place getting better but it just doesn't feel like it. I'm in Issue Management/RCSA and the leadership in this space simply has very little idea about the overall process they are supposed to be leading. They are all transplants from outside the company who are only concerned with pleasing their direct boss and have zero regard for learning the business they are supposed to be managing.

Leaders who lead Issue Management who don't even have access to SHRP (system of record). Don't' have access to the CARAT Dashboard reporting that serves as the main governance dashboard for the enterprise issue management inventory. Leaders barely know the specifics of what the Issue Management policy requires, much less the more granular details within the procedures for how to perform Issue Management. Bottom line, the leaders in this space are not at all equipped to lead the work and it's why we constantly spin and swirl on initiatives and never get any meaningful work accomplished. Day in and day out, it's just summary after summary, fire drill after fire drill to answer some ridiculous question from an ill-informed executive who has never bothered to learn his/her business. We just have no hope for ever being successful in issues management and RCSA. It's been a train wreck for years and nothing suggests it's anywhere close to improving. On top of it all, Issue Management is about to roll out a new system of record in 2 months and nobody in the organization knows how to use it. Absolute disaster about to unfold in the midst of all the regulatory mess we're already under. Nate Herman is out, but it's been a month+ and his successor Steven Kiker has no chance of unwinding this mess we're in. The incompetence at the leadership level is just staggering. Nobody can give any clear guidance on literally anything. SMH

I learned at a regional bank that MBA is free and earned approximately instantly. J

Don't understand the college scandal on the news, spend actual money and 4 years? They are all doing it wrong.

Yeah I make 200k. And I’m actually effective on my team. There’s some that make what I do and I have to help them with east stuff. All while cops have to confront gang members and get paid 70k or whatever. It’s a messed up world out there
