Circumstances like these layoffs only reinforce the reality that you will never be safe..

  1. Work remotely
  2. Work two jobs
  3. Save as much money as you can
  4. Don't make any large purchases

OP has some great advice - I have worked really hard to save 3 -6 months of expenses. Have been paying my mortgage down early and generally not spending all my money.

Oh give me a fkn break lol. Stop living your life afraid. You could die tomorrow, so enjoy life a little. Telling people to live in this constant state of “I could lose my job!” Is ridiculous.
