Wouldn't it be so much nicer if the SEC actually had teeth and created/enforced rules like "sitting members of congress may not own stocks or hold them in a blind trust until 5 years after leaving office" and "corporate leadership must retain all stocks until at least three years after all contractual, fiduciary, and employment related concerns have been completed"
If we could only level the playing field by... ya know... Not blatantly allowing insider trading at the top (while prociscuting it much lower down). But alas, why would the rule makers assert rules that remove their unfair advantage?
I'd love to see a world in which these corporate goons would eat their own capitalist rhetoric in a "ride or d-i-e" scenario.
I hear what you're saying however look at insider trading and he has been doing this for years many times a year.
It’s not that Guy’s transaction is drop in the bucket. It’s the message it sends: insider is selling.
Either Guy is spending almost a million dollars every month, or he is divesting from Fiserv. (Maybe he should help his budget by making coffee at home instead.)
Guy's stock sale was a drop in the bucket, look it up yourself. There are roughly 1 million in shares traded daily of FI stock. Also a recent number on outstanding shares is 609,614,903.

If you own the stock, you are an id--t. Let FB owns it all, he is surrounded by id--ts he promoted who is surrounded by more id--ts they promoted. This company is toxic, I am wondering why it's stock has not met zero.

Several things. People selling who finally made their money back. Insider selling; Guy dumped millions of dollars again. And an announcement about restructuring debt - kicking the can down the road. Of all of these factors, it’s the debt that will ultimately sink this ship. Or blow up the rocket. Pick your own metaphor.
That just means your 5% discount will get you more shares. Unless you bought puts, then you are making money.
