In the weeks following the announcement, was anyone given the “don’t worry we’re safe” live by someone reliable only to see you or someone from your team get laid off?
If so, do you call specific words used “you”, “we”, “our team”, etc. and how specifically did it end up not being true?
Earlier this month our team lead at monthly call announced, everything seems to be ok with our team. Until today was his final day, in addition to few others so far. With years of experience some with 2 decades.
Of course nobody listens this is a wholesale purge. Not 1 day.
My manager told me that he didn't have any information, but that he could not imagine them letting me go and I was as safe as anyone could be.

When the news came out I asked my director if we were safe and he said yes. Unfortunately, today he was told he was let go. I was told I would be safe, but I don't trust anybody right now. Hopefully they can announce the layoffs have been completed. There has been no announcement from leadership saying certain people are safe from my team.
