How are people being notified about layoffs? A phone call from HR? A meeting with manager?

I've heard of people being notified by email.
Which departments have been receiving the "Important Business Update" meetings so far?
will they call you if you are on PTO
If you get a 15 minute meeting entitled important business update you are getting promoted to customer.
I haven't heard anything to me specifically , but heard of ones being told already.
Also ones being told what parts of their area impacted but are safe.
I am nervous

Very likely you'll be asked to join a teams call. Along with others. You'll be notified of the layoff, separate individual meeting are then to come that will include next steps.
