Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Aetna CSO impacted

Aetna side commenting here. We were informed CSO will be impacted too. Even though they had originally said no customer facing positions would be impacted. We should know by the end of the month. 3 more weeks is a long time for all the suspense they got going on. :-/

People hate cvs enough as it is and only use cvs because their insurance says they have to use cvs. Sending everything offshore is really going to raise the hate meter

Offshore claim work is riddled with errors! Who's going to fix all their mistakes? Goodness gracious.

Any info on the Aetna provider network side? Currently, there are local provider relations and provider contracting teams in most states. I can't see those responsibilities going out of the US. I guess they could consolidate teams though. They closed Arkansas and moved those responsibilities to another provider team in the south.

Says who can't send CMS issues out of the country? Medicaid, Medicare all have had out of US vendors take over at all levels.

first off they CANNOT outsource any CSO that touches anything Medicaid. THAT is against CMS and State regulations. ZERO part of any customer service, IT or data anything that is Medicaid can be accessed outside of the states. Those CSO positions must remain here.

CSO is an acronym for customer service organization. Be ever blessed.

As far as outsourcing these roles Is this all of Aetna? Or specific divisions that offer products Medicare Advantage, Med Supp, PPO’s? Can anyone please give some clarification on this?

So the complete Service Operations Staff from the Board down is done? Nice sent to Manila and India, that includes Customer services, claims, billing, clinicians, case management. So that's not 5000, 10000, 20000 that's half the company. Customer facing? So you are eliminating a customer facing US Jobs except at store level?

Ok, so I hear Case Management, Customer service Operations, so basically the CEO & CFO are the only employees of this new completly outsourced out of the US company picking up at Store level so the board is in the US or UAE HQ every other area below is going out of the US then at store level US again.. so that's not 5000 lost US Jobs that's 270,000 US Jobs gone nice knowing every last one of ya the rug is being pulled. I hope the people at store level know that since you make more than your Supervisor and managers your jobs are as safe as nothing they will make your lives a living he-l until you quit.

Oh great, talking to India and Manila is awful. I talk to Manila now and they’re pushy, lie about why they want to transfer the call just to get rid of the call. Can’t understand them

Checking few comments in this thread.... Looks like we have few toxic people around who don't have any empathy towards people. So sad.

Everyone complains about the time between the announcement and when the layoffs actually occur. Ya’ll would be the same ones complaining of it was announced and done on the same day. You would whine about not having any warning that layoffs were going to occur. Can’t have it both ways

It's been incredibly unhealthy. Physically and mentally what Karen has done to over a quarter million employees and their multiple family members. I want out of this toxic company!!!!! CVS is a HORRIBLE company to work for

All you people with your whining about your mental health. My god, life is hard sometimes and there are no certainties. Seriously, what good is it doing to complain and say how everyone is so horrible.

Even if you don't lose your job look to get out.
They have caused to much mental harm.
Only way to feel comfortable now is to be able to quit and leave this place.

I have a funny feeling the "upcoming weeks" comment meant off and on until end of November

That is unbelievable that they plan on dragging this out so long. I literally have physical discomfort from the anxiety. I was hoping the rumored 14th/15th would be end dates and individuals would be able to breathe a sigh of relief if their job hasn’t been eliminated by a certain date.

This is genuinely agonizing. Corporate he-l. Make it stop.
