Your In the wrong business I get head on company time all the time that's called double dipping
It disheartening to see figures like 400M on a halfbaked software that doesn't even meet the demand of our operations. Yet there isn't adequate funding to keep our customer service team stateside.
"We have work because our customers value our high-quality communications services."
That statement use to mean something. Nothing screams low quality than foreign outsourced call center.
Like many other poor decisions and failures…Go90, AOL, Yahoo, ISIS mobile wallet. (Yes, folks it shared the name with a te------t organization)
I know there were many many others. Blue Jeans was an awful product….like nails on a chalk board when i has to listen to a business rep offer it to someone. Our network couldn’t support it. Dropped connection constantly when i was using my phone. Opened tickets and was told oh well….
I was embarrassed that we actually sold this to businesses. Using it daily was a terrible experience.
No doubt we will fall back of Google Meet, since it is part of the rest of the terrible G-Suite we use.
God I miss Microsoft...and thats something I thought I'd NEVER say.
No more BJs? OP must have just gotten married
Wait you mean late entry into a 3rd tier service wasn’t a good idea? Zoom, teams, slack, webex
damn. Must su-k to be you if you don’t get any more bjs. I get them frequently.
BJ was another waste of money from the Lowell (yes Lowell) and Hans business of school failures. Lowell borrowed $120 billion to overpay and buy out Vodafone, buy AOL, buy Yahoo....and Hans said "hold my beer" and purchase the worthless Bluejeans, who anyone could tell within 30 seconds of using it SU-KED.
Good job, Sampath/Hans. You're both failures
In regards to the Sampath "TP statement" - on the surface it makes "some" sense....where he hails from, they don't use TP - and the reason why they don't "shake hands" in that culture....
I still find it mind blowing how they decided to go with blue jeans, when nearly all the other tech companies are using zoom . Just goes to show how d-mb Vzw is with their money .
Samp should look to buy toilet paper company cause his former statement that people dont by TP in order to have money for vz wireless! Everyone needs TP. No one needs another online meeting service.
I have an idea for failure.
Buy a product for 400 mil. Hire a bunch of people from your existing sh---y business. Then don’t promote it. And launch it prior to being ready.
And offer no tech support.
Losers.
You forgot the hum
Throw it in the Verlieson trash heap where Go90, Get It Now, Yahoo, Home Phone Connect, Smart Stores, The Kin phone and many others already reside. This company cannot succeed in spite of itself any longer.
wonder if sampath will pay the company back for this horrible idea?
Lmao. I actually cackled when I saw that email. They couldn’t even peddle it to some third party. Just straight up sunset just like go90. Absolute trash software.
Thank god. Blue jeans was the worst meeting software I have ever used by a fu---n mile.
Another failure, another disappointment. …
Another worthless tool spend by the company . What a shame!
BJ was nothing more than a pet project for Sampath to get an acquisition under his belt to allow him to be qualified for CEO.
Wait didn’t they spend like $ 400 million for it?
