I wish you all the best - I was laid off in 2020, it was bad time due to COVID.

During that cut the company made 3% of their workforce redundant globally, that’s 200+ people (16 Jan 2020)

All the best to all of you!!!!

Why are posts being deleted?

Is Waters management or HR in control of this discussion board or website?

So called non retaliation policy is complete bulls!it. Anti-competition concerns raised by APAC employee last year and guess what. HR leaked it to executive and whistleblower gets headcount managed out on lies of poor performance.

Dig a hole in the ground. Fill it with sh-t. Leave it to rot for a month. Dive in, welcome to Waters.

Summer BBQ will be fun next week year, 3 beer tickets and a burger while celebrating how successful we are and how much appreciation goes into their staff. Hippocrates much? May as well cancel it now as no one wants to be around these so called mangers and supervisors who were given jobs all because of who they knew. Education and experience only required when you don’t have an in with the person making the decision. May as well close the doors now as they’ve set us on a path of destruction, full steam ahead.

20 years given to the wexford site and we have continually watched the train wreck go at full speed. Managers/supervisors given jobs because of who their friends are, complaints of the same operators for their bullying, rudeness and general negativity to trainees only to be told “nothing can be done, don’t take it seriously” Liam Ho-e had yet to make any announcement in relation to people losing their livelihood, it’s just business as usual, obviously showing how little he thinks of his co-workers. They let go of some fantastic workers with no actual reason as to how those decisions came about. If they wanted to really become more lean and efficient, they should have communicated with their “management teams” and relieved all those people who do the bare minimum while they have a minority who work themselves to death. Constant strive for HOURS /TARGETS rather than quality and meeting demands of a customer. An example in Column Manufacturing, there are currently 4 mangers, 6 supervisors and 8 team leads in one department in wexford and you’d witness better leadership and direction in a crèche. Want the company to succeed? Reduce the amount of useless roles created because management cannot handle the pressure. Everyone who made that place successful has left and can you really blame them? Next step was restructuring the site and moving people around. Some advice for Mr. Ho-e would be to give it a few weeks to see who he has left to move. This was disgraceful carry on from the entire senior management on how this came about and any respect left we all had for them is long gone while they hide in their corner offices. I only hope those who didn’t deserve to be let go find companies who appreciate the talent and their staff, tbat Waters Corp allowed to walk out the door all in the name of saving money after spending over $1 billion on buying a company. They should stay in their own lane.

Psychic communication in wexford plant, but theres always one cant wait to leak bad news.somehow people were asking for voluntary redundancy months ago.trust is gone no matter what they say after this debacle.workers should not fall for token gestures of 20 euro vouchers, free car parking prizes, annual burger munch and 3 beer tickets as they try get back onside.they will say your not a team player or disgruntled, maybe isolate you.be a team player by all means, you choose, team worker or team boss.

Heard about lay offs via email. Presumed when we shift started that there would be a meeting but no.!Liam Ho-e didn't even bother his ar-e to even send an email around explaining the situation. Just goes to show they have no respect. Come Thursday still nothing until a concerned employee asked about job security. We were eventually called in and told to my amusement that 'shock' they had no idea about the lay offs until we did . What a load of bull. Jobs are peoples livelihood show some god dam respect and inform your staff members on the situation., most of which bust their as--s off each day for the new management to reach targets. Waters was a lovely place to work for but now it's a sh-t show .Also they love abusing people in terms of letting them work in a higher grade of pay saying you would really help us reach targets let your work 6 months or a year and never back pay you or reward you.people are tired of the way the plant is ran ans we need new leadership who shows us respect!

Waters has transformed from a great place to work, with employees focused on making good products for customers, to a toxic, incompetent, arrogant, bullying sh1t show. It took just a couple of years to make that transition with the new leadership. Glad I got out when I did.

New corporation tax rules coming in 24 will hurt waters
Currently they pay virtually zero taxes by funneling profits through Ireland.in 24 they will have to pay where ever they export products.

Kristen Garvey has spent too many hours and money promoting Udit as the a growth leader. They are working the phones and calling favors to contain the story. He won't be going on Mad Money with Jim Cramer anytime soon. The story will be he is a decisive leader that has to take tough actions to protect the company. In addition, the company needs a different skill set to continue its indomitable journey. He likes to quote Ghandi. He is no Ghandi. He is very clear on his priorities. Family and God followed by his ego.

It's surprising that the news of a layoff of this size has NOT hit the papers ? Especially since those affected Milford employees had between 3 to 49 years of service ( majority 20+ years ).

Udit is an id--t CEO. He doubles down and promises Wall Street Q2 growth when he knows full well that even with the revenue and EPS miss in Q1, that quarter was STILL propped up because of vast shipment backlogs from Q4. Backlog has gone and orders have dried up. All of this could have been predicted 6 months ago. But he was too busy back then spending $1.4Bn acquiring Wyatt, a company that only makes $100M per year, has shocking build quality and even worse margins. Shocking leadership.

I have never worked for such an arrogant company that does not deserve it. The Aquity was almost 20 years ago. Maybe when Danaher buys Waters in a few weeks some of the weak leadership will get theirs. So glad I left long ago.

Employees hurt and frustrated, key customers leaving us, leadership team with their heads in the sand. No positive outlook here I’m afraid. I think this will just be the first cut. I’m looking to move on, but it’s a difficult job market right now in the US.

I resigned one year ago. The best decision of my career. Udit is a weak CEO but isn’t the cause if the toxic culture. Jon Pratt has rewarded leaders in his own image: Bullying, intimidating, discriminatory and misogynistic. He’s the worst human being I’ve ever encountered in my professional life. I’m glad that others are calling him out for what he is on here as well.

Waters is a toxic place to work, where management styles of bullying and sociopathy are encouraged from the top down.
A former boss of mine there caused 9 of his department (of 12) to leave. He’s still there, grinning like a sh-t eating fox. Protected by Jon Pratt.

Based on personal contacts/LinkedIn, there's been layoffs in many functions: product management, marketing, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management, facilities. And it's been in both the Waters and TA business units.

Mgmt there may be arrogant and vindictive, but they are not stupid. There's probably enough variety in the mix to make it impossible to know if particular people, roles, seniority levels, service times were targeted.

Which divisions and plants had ppl laid off? I heard Wexford, Milford, TA. It hit Milford manufacturing hard I heard. Lots of old and new folks got laid off.

Seems like they hit their divisions as well. TA Instruments laid off a bunch of good people because Waters laid off people. That does not make sense.

4% of workforce, approximately 300 employees. No big deal for leadership, they get to pad their stats with a recent billion dollar acquisition. Don’t let them sell you on having an “indomitable spirit” and “solving problems that matter” - it’s all about shareholders and ego.

Budget cuts didn't include him flying around in a private plane with, personal driver, or looking for a more cost-effective location for his annual leadership meeting. Of course, he needs to go have it at the Four Seasons

4% layoffs worldwide equates to about 300 .roughly the same amount of employees currently working for wyatt their recent acquisition.
