Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

This has become a big mess

I'm underpaid and overworked. It seems that there is no doubt that leaving is the only option?

Who are the DEI people? You barely see people these days, do to the remote work? I have been here for 27 years. The 15th Floor still make the big bucks. The company is making money and we have not had any layoffs lately….

I recently resigned. Could not stand the management in treasury. Found out another person in our area also resigned. Last March one employee just quit without any notice. His Director and her VP are toxic. The smart, POC are quitting. They are just as insulted by this as the rest of us. I want HCSC to survive so I can keep my medical coverage.

More employees are leaving. POC in Management cannot understand their behavior and the DEI programs are driving people away. Performance and results do not matter. Color of your skin does. More customers are leaving to competitors. I give it another year before the DOI comes in and has to supervise a recovery. The racial tension is getting worse. The wiser employees are letting the DEI people make their mistakes and fail-they do not listen. They always blame someone else.

I was at HCSC for over 5 years. I left a couple of years ago, and discovered that my market value was over 150% of what I was pulling down at HCSC. They made an effort to adjust my salary when I left, but it wasn’t near what I was going to get…. And it was time to go.

I hate to hear that things seem to be going downhill there. But, like at most places, if you want to make more money you’re gonna have to find it on your own.

I’m so glad I retired early! Sorry that you are all going through the BS. Hang in there!

The person turning things upside down is doing it for personal gain and not to actually benefit the company. Employees are operating from a point of fear instead of enjoying their work. Anxiety is everywhere and it is bad that a healthcare company of all places operates like this

I wouldn't expect this to improve in the foreseeable future, if that's what you're asking. Just based on the history of the past 5+ years.
