I’m a care manager and have been through many ROI studies throughout my 12 years at Humana and we have been saving Humana money by preventing readmissions. But AI will take over our positions by the end of the year. Last Townhall they were already talking about how AI is going to help all of Humana employees. Oh well no problem back to the bedside. At least that position can’t be replaced that with AI. Best of luck to all of us!

Six successful contacts a day. Wow. How in the world is there a return on investment for these CM programs? Talking to people is nice and all but if they aren’t staying out of the hospital and staying away from specialists that order expensive tests, and procedures there’s no way there’s a positive return.

If you are finished even before noon, that's not a full days work. I don't care of you talk to 6 people or not.

Six successful contacts. That is all we have ever done. We have at least three hours a day of talk time as one of our metrics and I easily make that per day with six contacts. Remember these are post discharge members that have a lot of needs.

6 patients a day? Makes for a long boring day.

I work in Triage and Support and am able to meet my metrics.Six Contacts a day. You pull the six members make an initial contact in the morning leave a message that you’re going call in the afternoon and the time you’ll call and usually people answer in the afternoon. There’s not been one day that I have not had enough work to do to last the whole day. It has been surprising to me and my engagement rate has increased. Humana is doing a return on investment study right now in our department so they are not changing anything. I’m sure At the end of the month when the survey is over they will adjust the RPM score so that more members come into our bucket. We pull six new members a day and have our scheduled follow up calls.

Metrics are the same? How many patients can you call by 10:30am. What goes on the rest of the day?
