My last day is tomorrow but my co-workers (Engineering group) are not aware of this RTO and our market is not located in one of the 9 offices. Is there any group that is exempted from this RTO?

“Which btw no one I need to collaborate with is located, just because RTO.”
You will be gaining new local coworkers to start collaborating with, You will finally be getting an opportunity to learn new parts of the business.
No groups are exempt from RTO. If youre a OSP engineer, you’re exempt from having to report to one of the nine hubs. You’ll RTO to your local office.
Congratulations on your last day, you are one of the lucky ones. You will do great everyone does. Once they leave and are able to enjoy life again with out the toxic stress of T. Don’t look back you can be assured you are not missing anything here. Most will be following in your footprints as the truth of RTO materializes. Life is short live your true purpose not the toxic T’s. Take a second today and smell the roses…. You are finally free!
Field teams are a bit different. You probably just report to your field office as you used to unless told you are permanent virtual (which is now less than 10% of employees).
I was virtual years before covid and lived in a hub, but now I have to go into an office. Which btw no one I need to collaborate with is located, just because RTO. I guess I’ll be sitting on the floor with everyone else. I’m going to bring a lawn chair just in case.
If you are a local market based employee we got our RTO assignment last week. We stay out and report 3-5 days. As for the layoff comment we have already endured a 15% reduction in headcount since Jan 1…so not sure what your are referring to
“ What does FTO mean and also NAL?”
Are you a reporter? If you worked here, you would know
Any team that has not heard of RTO, will probably be cut, instead
FTO = Full Time Occupant, 3-5 days a week based on what your management structure dictates.
Future Office Worker (huh??).
Not virtual, location not yet determined
What does FTO mean and also NAL?
Check the teams member’s office indicator status in Webphone. Most people were changed to FTO on July 1, which means be in your assigned location 3-5 days a week. For local market employees, that’s rarely a hub. Per the FAQ’s, FOW now means Future Office Worker (huh??).
Sounds like your group is considered a local market team. Your coworkers will be exempt from RTO but still be actively targeted for Q3 and Q4 surplus rounds.
Congrats on getting out! Hope to join you soon.
Family members and close friends of level 4s and above are also exempt.
Lots of groups were. RTO relo is for national teams
