It doesn't matter what you do. When a department comes up for layoff's a number of people will get laid off. End of story. You may find another job in the company. or not. Humana don't really care about you or your skills. If you are in the top 10 of productivity they will still let you go. The decisions made are at corporate level. Not local. The fiduciary obligation is to the share holder... Not you. If you are an high producer and you get laid off. it personal between you and your manager. The RIF process does not exempt anyone, it’s the role, not the person. But, hopefully, if some one is RIFd there is another role for them….the safest place seems to be SNP
UM was hit, but not the behavioral health team, or the HCMSS or SNP social workers, I thought…UM makes sense due to the cut back in commercial coverage

I think the BH roles are pretty secure and they are all licensed at this point.
You could be Elon Musk and Humana will fire you. They dont want competency. They want compliance, preferably d-mb downed compliance. Humana fired me about six years ago. At that time, I was a relatively successful stock market investor. today I am a multi millionaire and have more money than ever dreamed of. All of which 100 percent legit. True! I’m sure you’re speaking from the point of view of the RIF of BH non-nurse clinicians. Probably making way for the commercial RNs and LPNs to slide right in. It still bites and a certain person has done similar things to every group under them! Gotta watch the CO side of the business.
