@3wnf+1nm35vIr You're missing something. The OP stated they have had enough and quit. The thread about a transfer is different.
I’m missing something? I thought this thread was about transferring to another department, and the possibility of that, not being RIFd…nothing can protect your role in a RIF, but, if you we’re looking to transfer to a different job, I would suggest doing it while there is not a RIF going on due to the competition
@3wvk+1nm35vIr- you’re right. It’s the luck of the draw. Higher paid top performers get RIFed every day. Cheap labor is all the rage these days and humana does not care about their employees. While at the end of the day it’s about how much they can get from you with no pushback.
You are all deluded. It doesn't matter what you do. When a department comes up for layoff's a number of people will get laid off. End of story. You may find another job in the company. or not. Humana don't really care about you or your skills. If you are in the top 10 of productivity they will still let you go. The decisions made are at corporate level. Not local. The fiduciary obligation is to the share holder... Not you. If you are an high producer and you get laid off. it personal between you and your manager. Live with it or find another job because the COMPANY is supported in law in most of the states Humana hires in.
I disagree, I know quite a few people who were burning out and were able to get into another role and department , and were rated full, too
@ovb+1nm35vIr- Change departments? That’s impossible even if you’re a top performer with many certifications and skills.
Change departments, not every department sucks.
There are so many of us ready to tell humana to F$&! off. Good competent people just don’t get ahead anymore.
I would tend to agree, but if it’s that bad, and there is no guarantee you will be RIFd, sometimes it’s better to go on your own terms. Have you started looking for another job?
Two weeks for every year. Plus unemployment.
How many weeks severance do you get for 3 years service?
No wait for your severance. There’s gonna be more layoffs coming so hold tight. Don’t let them get away with making you quit and then they don’t have to pay anything
