Campus Relations Down the Drain

How can you build campus relations and find new sales opportunities if you have to be running the register while receiving and worrying about restocking!!! lets stop investing in so much merchandise and invest in people to catch up with everything in the store! This is getting ridiculous. Need to find a new job.

This is only the beginning. ML & Store managers are going to crack under the pressure of Fall rush. Has everyone lost sight of the core principles of this business?
It is a "specialty" retail. Your customers are the college campus, alumni, students and parents. You lose them and you have no business. The philosophy of trying to quietly make changes and hope they are not noticed will not save you forever. They will figure it out.
And of course there is a contract. If it expired and was not renewed, you are still obligated to the previous one if you want to keep it. Terms only change when a new contract is signed.

My campus called in the new Market Leader and read them the riot act. The new Market Leader was flat out saying that a lot of things that used to be done won't anymore because they're not in the contract. Some of it was silly things like the formatting of invoices but other stuff was about store staffing and summer hours. Interestingly .. things the new Market Leader can't deliver on since everyone quit or was laid off.

Don't worry! The geniuses in the Ivory Tower are not the problem. They have the perfect plans. The lazy people in the stores are the problem. Like ISU, The Alamo has been the Alamo for ages. What we need to do is rebrand it The Redbird Spirit Shop and everything will be fine. Stupid Follett Family, why couldn't they see that????
Cut the managers pay, that's smart business! More staff? Are you kidding with all those lazy people there????
The people in the Ivory Tower NEVER FAIL!

That would require common sense. JRC believes store staff are sitting in the backroom playing solitaire, so the physical labor required to actually operate the stores does not calculate in their plans. You have all the time in the world. Now get off your lazy a** and get back to work, instead of draining the company by expecting to be paid a lower than avg wage. Or hire and train additional staff so they can give you a budget with no hours available to schedule them. Wasn't that a good use of your time.
