Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

product owners getting fired

On linkedin a product owner got laid off or stacked ranked from Capone and reaching to his network for job assistance. God bless him. After the ADL job family was removed it was assumed product owners would fill their void. But they haven't been. And now they're getting fired too.

The number of complete di-k heads on these forums is amazing. The people commenting about how they work hard to not lose their jobs calling the people who were let go losers is appalling. To any of the di-ks doing this, why are you on this site if you aren’t worried about losing your job. If you work “hard” you would not have time for posting here. If you are the di-ks you seem like, an IV of viagra is the only way to constantly work “hard” - eventually you will become a flaccid di-k and hopefully you are fired immediately. To everyone who is not an a--hole - good luck. Hopefully things settle out and if not I hope you find a good landing spot.

Everyone has their own sad and traumatic story working at this corrupt and vulgar place. Burn it down.

That's the expectation with new 15% - 20% PIP policy. Associates will never get a hint until you receive the PIP notice to your face. They want to squeeze every last ounce of your time working . Capital one Plano used to be a better place couple of years ago. After Arjun left to Card, it become worse in Auto Tech. It's all politics now. Many People flew in to Dir+ positions from outside companies like Nielson or Amazon. It's their culture now, no values at all. Not a people company . Struggling to make money and finding ways to cut cost by PIP. I have seen how C1 handled gracefully previous lay offs. This time just cutting corners with PIP. Get out of C1, if you are not cut out for politics. It's not the same company that I once felt proud to work for. I am looking out and talent will leave soon, if it continues.

I was laid off with 2 days notice , I was never absent, and I was not on any finals or bad standings , I had 9 Q&A calls in June , no business intents , 4 being in the last week, the company made it seem like you could work hard n stay but it was written in stone , I doubt ppl were transferred , they kept ppl in the dark , truly used us till the very end

Stats are accurate here, I work hard everyday not to have to cry and worry like you all. I’m sure many of you were let go for contributing little to the company value-wise, or slacked off the last couple years. Adios, and enjoy your new jobs losers!

It could be performance, if it is before. This year, it's different. It's all about who you know at higher level and stack rank the rest to below. Sometimes even the manager don't have a choice, if you are close to people above the managers rank .It's mostly a game above Sr manager level and up. Capital One lost it's core values. It become so political. If you think, you can work hard and survive, you are wrong. Those days are gone. You need to play politics to survive. Period.

And? How do you know his job performance wasn't sub par? People get fired/let go every single day, there are fantastic performers out in the world, but then there's also a bunch of losers that do the bare minimum, not everyone is a winner!
