Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Is the Party over?

On Friday LE sold off $640M in stock - not big news but what is interesting is that this was the first time in two years that he has sold any stock . At the same time he also exercised/sold stock options that netted him a cool $480MM. Comes to about $1 Billion in cash outs.

We know this is a drop in the bucket in terms of his overall stake, but why now would he be selling off ?? Did he just need some pocket cash for his racing yacht or is something else happening?

It's possible the party might really be over. Hard to tell.

He’s probably going to buy a ton of stock in the offshore outsourcing companies. Then, he’ll bring in twice the amount of H1B’s at Oracle. He’ll be filthy rich.

For LE, it's always party time !!!

Nothing gets in the way of a good party. He just needed some pocket change and so he sold off a few of his billion shares that he holds.

It's as simple as Larry is just plain bored with the big "O".

We are just on autopilot as far as he is concerned. He's got plenty of time and cash to pursue all these other hobby's. He gave up on the big "O" a long time ago.

You speak about Musk and Ellison biz together... does everyone know that Twitter hasn't paid it's bills to Oracle for months!!

But don't worry whatever the shortfall it will be made up by all of us one way or the other.... what do they say "birds of a feather, flock together" - isn't it great to have friends in high places.

He just doesn't know what to do with all his loot, esp. since he just surpassed Bill Gates net worth.

Probably he just need some cash to buy more of his buddy Elon Musk’s Tesla Co...nice hobby if you can afford it...and the rest of us just skimp along hoping to keep our jobs and go week to week trying to make ends meet. What a great place !!!

If he didn’t sell, the stock options would have expired. So he sold at $125 and replaced them all at $30 a pop. He netted hundreds of millions of dollars and has the same amount of stock, if not more plus a boat load of cash.
