Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

It's increasingly difficult to be among those who remain

True statement. Although, even sometimes when the company opens the hiring gates after losing talent, those newly recruited take months to upwards of a year or more to get up to speed. In our field, I consider anyone 12 months or less, to be irrelevant enough to lighten the workload of others.

Sucks for those that remain.

I agree, just quit. I regret staying there so long. All pain for very little gain. I thought it would get better but it only ever got worse. People at GM think that it's a win for them, it's sad.

If you find it difficult to "remain", you should leave.
It's not complicated.
There are plenty of people eager to get hired by GM; plenty of people who wanted to work at GM all their lives.
(To the guy triggered by semicolons, that was for you!)
