I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that coming here is one of their biggest mistakes....

tbh I don't think it was a mistake, vzw has thought me some valuable life lessons whether it was intentional or not. For example, now I know what red flags to avoid with a potential employer. I learned when to and when not to report things to HR. (Hint always be the first to report if you think something will affect you personally, if it is not going to affect you then who cares it's their problem not yours). I learned how to get a general idea of when to expect a layoff. I learned to not trust any level of management and to get everything in writing if it is going to have direct impact on me. I learned to distinguish between people that are there to help you vs people that are there just to di-k around and pretend to work.
No one is keeping you here. Go somewhere else if you’re so unhappy.
Perspective is necessary. The pay isn’t great anymore but unless you were here before covid you haven’t personally lost anything, at least on the retail side. And that is also assuming you were able to perform in the top 20ish percent to make big checks. There are a lot of lazy reps who have been around for a while claiming they got screwed by the new comp plan who actually got a raise out of the pockets of others from this socialist nonsense. Some of us actually took 20-30k cuts on the new comp plan, but far less of us than those who claim they did, and quite a few of them either left for other roles or left VZ entirely, there may be 1 to 2 people in a store still around. It still isn’t too bad but nowhere close to what it was for a few of us.
That said, our insurance is hard to compete with and you get a month of PTO now as a NEW hire. More than 5 weeks if you count your UIA. Tuition assistance as well. Take advantage of your benefits while we still have them or quit complaining. If you could get a better job you would have, you are getting far more than most new hires were even 5 years ago spare for those who worked hard and earned the extra money. 12 years ago when I came on, base pay was $11 an hour and you got 3 weeks PTO, you had to sell to make a livable wage and they would boot you out if you didn’t sell. You have it easy now. If you think coming here was a mistake, the mistake was yours and you know where the door is.
Sorry no it wasn’t a mistake.
A. I have top notch medical coverage.

E. Discount on my phone bill
F. My son (back when it was offered) won the VZW scholarship as child of employee.
So until recently, it was the BEST decision ever made for someone with only a high school diploma and secretary skills to earn solid money and provide for my family.
Just say’n
Hans didn't buy Verizon. He was elected by the shareholders.
This place used to be a great company to work for . However it all went down hill when Hans bought it. Now all everyone does is complain
I absolutely feel the same. I had an opportunity to work at T-Mobile and I turned it down to work CS at Verizon. That was a big mistakes, there were red flags but as we do we push through them. You live and you learn
