I work at vpc and there is alot of bad stuff that goes on. Nobody works they just talk and gossip all day. But no supervisor or anyone comes. I dont understand what the supervisor is doing since they do not tell their admins to stop what bad things they are doing. Some people very nice and some are very rude and toxic person. Maybe more money shall help.

I disagree. Each and every person I interacted says the same thing… I’ve seen crazy things in my career but this place is at a whole different level. The lower you are on the food chain the more you encounter this.
Newsflash Einsteins. All corporate ammerica is toxic. Having said that and knowing that now you must learn to survive and even thrive in this environment. Just accept it for what it is and always will be. It’s just a job so you can do what you really want later.
YES and STAY AWAY!
Karen’s in supply chain for one. Low emotional intelligence and insecure and hungry for power has been destroying the department since 2017! Nothing but gossiping all day everyday!
What is management’s response let’s pretend nothing is happening and keep promoting them. This will solve everything!
Toxicity in a workplace is usually created and spread by a few negative, low value employees with serious insecurity issues and little, if any skills. If the workplace was like the animal world, natural selection would have ended their life a long time ago. They basically suck and their DNA is flawed.
I do agree that some O&G companies do this, more so on the services side but Enbridge takes it to another level.
It’s probably dependent on location and department. But in general I feel employees here are treated moreso like contractors than employees. Especially during layoffs…just cut the employees and let them go but not even care about the inherent knowledge and cost of training said employee. The company kind of views employees as plug and play. I’m sure it’s similar to other corporate environments…seems also like an oil and gas company trait.
The company as a whole does not respect the employees. This can be seen time and time again during downturns, the pandemic, and various mergers throughout the company’s history. Because Enbridge cuts it’s staff with consistent layoffs, and cut salaries than it’s not a good company. A properly run organization doesn’t do this.
Not any more than any other very large company. You'll find all the same complaints and claims for almost any other firm.
Avoid the supply chain department at all costs.
I would say Houston.
I wouldn’t say TIS is toxic, but it is considerably dysfunctional.
It certainly has its moments but it’s not too much different than anywhere else in corporate America or Canada. Some departments certainly have it worse than others though.
