I think you are spot on . We were recently told that there are more a dozen stores being darkened prior to lease expiration- no disclosure yet on how many will go to indirect. Odds are, like in the past, they will sell off a block of stores in a certain geographic. It’s coming. Not sure if it be in a few months or years. Like said below lots of smoke and mirrors. Always have a plan B!
A lot of smoke and mirrors about to happen. More stores will be closed/ changed to indirect. 1 or 2 headcount will be added to “busy” stores which will be leveraged for those employees just layed off. Thoughts?
Why do you think they are constantly hiring in new reps? Why is the employee churn so high? Several reasons come to mind - the job demands- the complaints we constantly have to fix. - not receiving the amount of of income they were led to believe - the pressure of the daily environment, and in some cases VGS can’t seem to get the the AC fixed here Texas. (This is not new, the VGS Director is well aware as it’s been going on for several years) Hopefully our new management superstructure will address all these issues and call VGS on carpet for not providing a conducive environment to sell…
@1sts+1ncX0gvU I believe the minimum is 4 weeks (check the severance spd), but they typically don't lay anyone off with less than a year of service.
Doubt it . Why do you think they went store comission? To save millions! now there is no need for layoffs Becuase the reps are quitting by the dozen . If anything Vzw NEEDS more store reps .
If I was to be a part of the "RIF" would they provide me any package? If so, how much? I am literally 4 months in. Part of the Fort Lauderdale region.
Whoever is feeding that info is incorrect., because they are highering more retail employees
Keep your eyes open…
It’s really, really sad that a new employee has already found their way to this site.
if your in the bottom 12% of the enterprise, you will be PIPd out
No. You’re less expensive to keep on board.
