I have a friend who works for Signify and they did not receive the email about layoffs so im assuming they are safe.

This is solely my understanding

HR , Finance , Marketing etc of all recently bought companies oak , signify , aetna etc will be consolidated

In IT also thr would be serveral roles like security , infra , center of excellence, dba , unix , windows , digital , analytics etc would be consolidated

Then they would reorg and streamline process . Team or process which does not fall under these consolidation could be safe

If signify and oak street already have their own positions filled, they don’t need us. I worked for a place and was sold to another company. The new company already had staff such as for billing, customer service etc so we were all laid off. Doors closed. The building isn’t even there anymore.

Oh, I doubt it. They're counting on them to pull CVS out of the mess they made.

I don't have any evidence but my guess is "yes." Consider that CVS did a job title re-alignment a year or two ago so as to flatten hierarchies. Now consider the potential for redundancies and pay discrepancies for identical roles between CVS and these recent acquisitions.

I hope a majority comes from there. D-mb purchase by CVS to acquire both companies at over valued price. This is where most of the expense savings is stemming from I bet.

I would think especially about redundancies in these companies with those already in CVS. For instance, all 3 probably have an HR department. Can the work be consolidated into a single HR department?

Yes, especially the redundant corporate positions.

They’re gonna push signify and oak street. This is where the money is, other competitors are getting into this one stop shopping. Signify has nurses going into homes to add a lot of medical diagnoses so the patient is marked in the system as more critical care. Aetna then gets a higher reimbursement. Same with Oak Street. Plus the staff can push meds to be filled at the CVS pharmacies. Right now Medicare and Medicaid don’t negotiate prices with these pharmacies so CVS can charge whatever it wants. Those two programs are feeders into the CVS system. I’m a healthy 68 year old Aetna employee, can’t tell you how many times I get those freaking calls to schedule a home visit.
