“Less than 5 months in this housing market no less is just not financially or logistically feasible”
Knowing a move was likely happened over 6 months ago. You will end up having over a year to coordinate relocation. You wasted a lot of time if you are just now starting to take action
It isn’t the move proposition so much as the unreasonable timeline. Standard relo agreements allow for 1 year. Less than 5 months in this housing market no less is just not financially or logistically feasible at least not for senior team members with a house and a family to move. Middle of the school year too, which adds to the challenges buying and selling. It was a difficult decision but too much uncertainty to navigate even if I felt comfortable with the terms of my “job offer”
if you are in the friends and family club you will be making your 200k and be #DallasBound !!!!!
sc--w everyone else !!!
I am a L2 and am moving. It works for me.
“how can exceptions be made for some, not all?”
It’s called needs of the business
I am an L2 IC that makes right at $200k/yr after bonus. It’s more common than you might think, for technical professional roles. I have others on my team in N3 zones making well over $200k/yr. Some of them doing much less than me.
I retired in 2018 but following these threads as I still have many friends at "t".
I was told a couple of them not near a hub were allowed to work from a central office...how can exceptions be made for some, not all?
"It MUST be upper management people on here ... the boot lickers who make decent enough money in their position at AT&T because there's no way it's worth it for L2 and maybe L3 managers."
There are L2's that make over $200k.
I'm definitely moving. People keep asking for videos of the workplace fights and no one is stepping up. I'll lead the way.
Wow, all the people moving to Dallas or Atlanta in this economic condition to chase (retain) a job that does not respect you just wins you guys a "stu pid" T-shirt.
It MUST be upper management people on here ... the boot lickers who make decent enough money in their position at AT&T because there's no way it's worth it for L2 and maybe L3 managers.
Not moving!! KMB!
Anyone who has been with T for longer than a year and who will voluntarily move to chase their current job is a living example of the sunk cost fallacy.
Best of luck to anyone stupid enough to move. You'll need it.
I am #DallasBound!
Direct sales in ALL segments with the exception of Public Sector will move to primary SP model. It’s been on the roadmap for 5 years. Cost to run the indirect channel is a significant savings to T.
They are now assigning MM account modules to solution providers. T is in the process of outsourcing the entire sales force to channel partners. It's very similar to what Retail is doing with AR.
I am not moving to Dallas. Ready to be laid off!!!
Very few have accepted their new assignment. There are groups that are significantly impacted in MM. Work is going to come to a screeching halt for several of the teams. Some folk are granted virtual but not enough. Some folk saying they are moving but aren’t and senior leadership knows and has a plan in place to eliminate those not meeting required move milestones. Lots of folk going to be in for a major shock of workload and unattainable job expectations. No backfilling either. Good luck to all.
I have decided to move to Texas
Looking forward to all the new job opportunities coming to Dallas & Atlanta.
11 people are moving to Dallas
It's nice to have choice.
