Clear facts stated around the ongoing analysis of lead sheath cables states that only a small portion of telecom infrastructure is lead sheath. However, this is still hundreds of thousands of miles of cable both underground, in waterways, and aerial. These cables might be placed in areas with minimal access by the public but we have to consider the environmental impacts this has. It's almost comical as well how they are site testing as quickly as possible but stated they are unsure where cables are located that might have lead from MCI and XO. So...if Verizon was founded in 2000 then we can assume that 99% of the issues are going to be with MCI and XO cables as lead wasn't used past the 1950s.

Entire underground of NYC is laced with lead sheathed cables.
OP “Lost in Space”….
Verizon started with the divestiture of AT&T and the RBOCs. How can you work for a company OP and not know how this company came about? NY Telephone and NE Telephone changed their name to NYNEX. NYNEX then merged with Bell Atlantic. When Bell Atlantic and GTE merged, we became Verizon in 2000. Ge-z use Google and read for once! So the company has existed well back into the 50s as NY Telephone and NE Telephone didn't pop out of thin air.
The only way this has something to do with the NDA is if they are deciding which positions or business lines to cut since this will be a massive undertaking in cost.
Don’t forget that Verizon was Bell Atlantic and GTE. Baby bell has old cables
I wonder if this is related to the NDA?
