Our stores have only gotten worse since new DM started. Previous was okay. This one has no clue. Union vote time.

Union reps here... the guy stating the CWA does nothing and changes nothing is 100 percent correct. We unionized unfortunately and NOTHING has changed. We are stuck for 3 years and not one thing has helped or changed. Pay is the same, hours got later and nothing happened, we have to jump through extra hoops for a shift change, asking for more from CWA is as useless as asking Hans to pay us better. They are a scam and will promise you the world and not deliver the second you vote them in. They promise you they will make you this dream contract and once voted in, the disappear until its time for you to be forced into the Brooklyn contract. Your management is forced to take away all employee morale boosters (they want to but they can't). It's a fu----g scam, I was the only one who voted no and was forced into it and it su-ks. You pay them to literally do nothing. Unless you're a shitbag employee who needs someone to bail you out of a customer complaint or write up, and even that's a coin toss.

Learn from our mistakes. We voted the union in and we haven't gotten anything for it. Our pay is the same as the other stores. Oure benefits are the same. Our work/life balance is no better. Working conditions are no better.
Our take home is actually less because we make the same pay, but have toi pay union dues.
Now, here's the part where the union lackey claims they have no power because all stores need to be joined up. Give me a freaking break! cwa is massive. If an industry that interacts in any way with the public is unionized it's the cwa. Al call center union members, retail employees, newspaper employees, broadcasters, flight attendants. The list goes on and on yet they claim they are powerless.
These guys are first class grifters. Save yourself the trouble and aggravation. keep them out of your life at all costs.
