Attention Store Manager:
When you call the Corporate office and talk to the DM and RDR they probably wont want to tell you that a FTOW (merchandiser) is writing your orders and that their “Sales Rep” is actually out throwing cases in order to boost the FTOW’s Cases per Hour since they cant achieve it themselves. In this day and age that seems more important than your Sales Rep making sales calls. Dont worry though! Your FTOW will order a bunch of product you dont need while leaving holes all over the shelf, not fill or face up your displays or even bother to rotate shelf stock.
Attention Store Manager:
Call your corporate office and ask to speak with your regional representative for Mondelez. When you talk to our DM or RDR you will finally get to meet your Sales Rep after a long 6 month wait. They have not come to your store because the 20 minute drive is too far from their house and interrupts their TV time/Couch Selling.
Best Regards,
An overworked and underpaid Merchandiser
The fact of the matter is that more than likely, a merchandiser is writing your orders and the SR is out throwing cases somewhere else. You are probably getting the worst service from our company you have ever seen. Corporate greed has done this. Why do you need a seasoned Rep when they can just hand a tablet to a merchandiser for less money?
It’s because us sales reps are out throwing loads and not selling. We are also cleaning up after these worthless FTOWs. We are full time babysitters and unfortunately can’t meet with all managers on a weekly basis.
Probably not a store manager, could be anyone...
The structure js a joke. The ftow act like they aren't the reps so don't care but in reality they are the ones the store managers need to be speaking too
What store are you a manager at?
If you’re in the the south, Winne Dixie, Food Lion etc. you’re on the bottom of the totem pole. I now have 25 other stores to deal with.
18 Walmarts and 7 Publix stores. Good luck!
Yeah well if they aren’t happy with their service why talk to the person that obviously doesn’t care?
If a store manager wants to speak to someone they probably want to speak to the one that is doing the ordering, maintaining inventory, writing up credits, merchandising which is the ftow...
Sales reps are more like dms. Ftow are really the 1st point of contact. I'm lucky to get into every store every week and usually most managers aren't even there, or busy themselves
